Geledi are Digil. So have you been reading Virginia's book, or do you have other sources?

In 2006 the ICU started giving back properties, and Al Shabaab did also. The dowlad started kicking out squaters as well. If you have right paper work, or people (i.e neighbors) who can be witness that the property is indeed yours, you should be able to get your land back. But don't expect to get a call saying hey we have your house in Xamar, it's all yours come get it. You have to do some work to get it back.

My father tried that a couple of times, but it was too risky. I just feel for my grandmother because she was too attached to her house. Anyway, this is not a serious topic here, I just want to remind some Moagdishu dwellers that their neighbours or a distant relitve of them is living in someone else's property. And that the city does not belong to those claim it to be theirs ALONE.
