fighter, life isn't as cheap here either. Plus, the taxes are higher. Paid almost 10K income tax last financial year, and it's going to be the same this year again.

I doubt the taxes are higher. you can easily pay 10 000 on income tax and only get 400-900 back.

^^ That's exactly my case last year. They deducted about 10,000 as income tax and I got less than a thousand in tax return. How isn't that high?

If my income, taxes, returns and all my expenses are in Australian Dollars what has that got to do with other currency? Instead of making short answers can you get into details of what you mean?'

Last financial year my income tax was about 20 % of my gross earnings, isn't that high?
