A Real life Somali Obstacle or POISON?
Qabil. Wow, it has infected Somalis-- upto the core. So here is a funny Sceniro. I was out driving with my best galfriend. (*at the risking of divulging too much about myself,
i feel i have to--in order to authenticate this hilarious story) So off we 'was'...(as adoon african american would say it) ---- driving, as usual, her ladyship doesn't like to drive. So my gal drives my car (as i hate to drive), and we talk--- so there she finds a Somali blind older man walking helplessly with his caine. Naturally, my galfriend makes a very inappropriate loud screech STOP. She talks to the blind man and whom he recognizes her voices instantly. You see, my friend and the man are of the same qabil , and my qabil are always their qabil. But given that i am magnanimous and generous not to mention none qabilist-- i extended my patronage of friendship to my 'best friend'. So there, after driving a lil bit-- i started feeling guilty about him and his predicament-- and prayed silently for God to keep him safe- and then my chatty stupid friend asked him about one of his daughter. "Who did she marry" She asked. After long drivel about Muslim waa muslim, and all that disingenuous crap- he finally said the truth ---He replied -- She married "Our people". I was not particularly bothered by that-as the man had the right to be proud of his daughter marrying his fellow qabil': - but what really bothered me was--the next answer. "As long as she DID NOT marry reer Hebel-----i was happy". And here i was sitting, very awkward, this blind old blind man i had felt sorry for a few minutes ago---sitting in "MY CAR"- and dogging my qabil. I sat silently, and my friend being very quick and perceptive, changed the subject before he continued even more. Later she apologized and i was left to withdraw my prayers for him.

Not as focked up as finding the local Somali imam told a group of AFrican American Muslims not to send money and assistance to qaxooti in Afgoye any money when they approached him with some cash. He argued that it was devicisive and could cause problems among the Somalis. Fortunately, I was cool with ilmaha Rer Kunte Kinte and found out from them about this iblis of an imam who is at heart a hardcore qabili. I never returned to the iblis's masjid again and would rather pray with the Shi'as instead.

Sometimes, after giving salaam to an older Somali guy, I wonder whether or not he was directly part of the violence.

LOL! I remember being at the dentist and this loud obnoxious Somali man couldn't even give me my own space as I was talking with the lady at the counter to make my appointment. After a couple minutes of hinting to him to get lost, he finally took a sit at one of the waiting chairs. After a couple minutes he gets a phone call, argues with a guy, hangs up the phone. And loudly proclaims " NACALAA KU TAALO (My clan)!
I laughed more than anything else, because walahi, for a second I was wondering why the hell I wasn't pissed! I think that's the day I found out I wasn't much of qabilist.
The old blind man still has ears. You would never see a deaf qabilist.

Knowing beforehand? I wouldn't give them salaam. But I've never questioned, hoping to avoid any conflicts.

Neither do I. They are courts for people from the less developed world.Alphanumeric wrote:Don't believe in international courts.
