Wow, gurey. I give u great effort on your very long paragraph argument. You deserve an A. Everything u wrote, I agree with. But I still maintain the Romans governance impacted the world favorably. (whether humans learnt from it or not) Also, my real point of argument was that did the governance bring civilization? The oligarchy governance that romans brought as u put it-- was later adopted by my other favorite empire-- the British. (now u can guess why I like the Romans in the first place lol) We are not talking about the perfection of democracy here, just pure civilization. True democracy did not come until the French revolution. And true civilization did not come until the renaissance period. (from the period of 14th to 17th century, in which u RIGHTLY say European advance in science was post 17th)
