Re: Egypt’s profusely ignorant countryside approves constitu
Egyptians voted for a majority parliament of Muslim Brotherhood and a Muslim Brotherhood president, and have ratified their constitution, it is the will of the people.
If Mubarak style neoliberal capitalism was so popular, why did he need a military dictatorship to stay in power?
Before, noone had any rights and the government could beat the crap out of you for no reason, detain you indefinitely for no reason, even kill you without any reason. Now people actually have some rights and democracy in Egypt. Is it perfect? Hell no, it's probably not even adequate, but it's a step in the right direction.

Union
Isn't it a good thing though? Just take Iran for instance they all wanted sharia'h and an Islamic government etc..
today majoritly of The Iranian specially the youth and women are all for secularism
The Egyptians never lived under sharia, let them know what it feels like living. Infact all Muslim countries should impliment sharia as their law.
then just give it less than 100 years. and you will never ever hear of sharia again
believe me!
it's good thing for the long term.

It's like watching a child burn itself with fire. It's cruel, but some hard headed childlike people need to learn the hard way. I am getting the popcorn out. It's going to be entertaining watching the chaos in Egypt.

The ikhwaan must realise masr is not one ummah, it is a nation with 2 different religons, and the christian coptics of masr have been referred to as kin by the prophet (SAW) and the prophet said deal with them kindly, for one of the mother of the believers hailed from their nation, and today christian politicians marched out of the parliements, yet the ikhwaan gave the go ahead with the constitution, is this Sunnah?
By Allah it is not, mark my words, Egypt has fallen into a trap, and they are in shambles, the zionist christians and jews are laughing their backsides off.
Enforcing shari'a on people who are not muslim is not Sunnah, Shari'a can only be enforced on those who want it, it must not be used as a means of oppression.
This world gets even stupider by the day, and the ulema are silent about it, inalilah.

Re: Egypt’s profusely ignorant countryside approves constitu
It's not " a step in the right direction" for an Islamist only legislature to produce a "constitution" devoid of any meaningful rights and protections for Egypt's minority groups and then for the Islamist strongman in power (who by the way has granted himself all sorts of new powers) to pass that constitution through voter intimidation. Egypt is headed for an even worse dictatorship than that of Hosni Mubarak.James Dahl wrote:Egyptians voted for a majority parliament of Muslim Brotherhood and a Muslim Brotherhood president, and have ratified their constitution, it is the will of the people.

The Islamists of Egypt are abusing the rights of Coptic Christians. They are even guilty of bombing churches as people pray within them.
