The guy was saved by Kenyan-Amisom in Gedo when he escaped from his repeated humiliating imprisonment by Ethiopian forces. Kenya again is protecting him and the other spoilers from being attacked in Kismaayo. Without Kenya keeping the peace only one side would remain in the city. Children in Garissa go to schools, attend colleges and universities in Kenya they have no time to fight a war in Kismaayo.

I don't even support RSK in this conference ( Gaandi camp ✓ ) but I'm surprised by this reaction from some in the forum, resting their political hope on a former criminal warlord.

This was the most comprehensive attempt at state building in Jubbaland really, little clans who had little political representation before had elders and representatives in a show of inclusiveness. The only detractors were the FG and politicians in Xamar professing to represent specific clans calling it an unfair process. All will be for nothing if there is no consensus, with the IGAD delegation the conference was looking solid until this confusion but we will see in the coming days.
