Re: Irrational decisions
Let them be. They will not share anything with you or anybody else for that matter, because you have already built a hostile environment. All you can do is be welcoming. There is absolutely no reason why you, and everybody else, should mount an attack on a single person, because you think they are being uncharacteristic. Maybe the person you knew before was uncharacteristic, maybe she is being her true self. In any event, give the person their rightful space.InaSamaale wrote:I don't know any better. All I know is that humans don't change attitudes/character overnight. As you can tell in my opening post, I am clearly unsure about what may cause them to act in this manner. I understand I did not provide convincing examples besides the spontaneous move, but there are other things that I don't feel entirely comfortable sharing.BigRedBook wrote:You leave them alone. Let them figure out whatever they need. They are not paranoid about the fact that someone is out to get him, it is already happening thanks to you and those around you, as you mentioned here, "How do you bring this up without ostracising them any further?" What makes you think you know any better? It is pure arrogance to go out of your way to "help" someone who you think is falling off the rails. It's just a step away from chaining them to a boulder like they do in Somalia, because they think the person is "nuts." Unless the said person asks you for your input, what makes you think they want you to baby them? Leaving the country and not letting anyone know says a lot more about the people they are avoiding rather than the crazy person. Helping them to stroke your own ego is not right.
In short, leave the person alone and stop being so nosey.
Would you just let the person be, if you if there was even the slightest chance, of this being the beginning of something serious ?

Re: Irrational decisions
Marques, what with your consistent posts complaining about my posts and your pms, I really do think you have an issue. Are you alright, walaal? You know this is just the Internet, so if long posts make you feel so insecure you have the option of simply not looking at them if it so challenges your reading skills or you could, you know, stop obsessing.Marques wrote:Basra- wrote:Cush
