That is amazing technique, I never understood why my sister used to take my lil nephew from 6 months onwards to swimming lessons. I am assuming this is the reason :).

Cheers for sharing

Good day. You are most welcome.

Some parents with pools take their babies and toddlers for swimming lessons and self rescue training.

The Diving Reflex: Also called the bradycardic response, involves a natural reflex for the baby to hold her breath when her head goes under the water. A baby's heart rate will also slow down while under the water. This reflex disappears after about 6 months of age.
Swimming Reflex: A newborn placed stomach-side down in water will move his arms and legs in a repetitive swimming motion. This reflex is called the "swimming reflex." The swimming reflex begins to fade at about the 6-month mark.

It goes without saying that babies and children must be supervised when in or around water!

The report found that 70 percent of African-American children and 60 percent of Hispanic children do not know how to swim. Forty percent of white children do not know how to swim.

It would be cool if someone invented floatable diapers for kids. Put that thing on them, and if they accidentally fall into the pool, float em right up.

Hi GAMES,

How about if the hypothetical floatable diaper malfunctioned or harmed the infant it was meant to save?

If people have a swimming pool, it is Imperative that they provide swimming lessons for their young children. The ability to Swim could save a person's life.

Peace Be With You.
