Why would anybody want to unite with Djibouti, a liberal HIV-ridden absolute wasteland ? I could understand Ethiopia wanting to unite with her because of sea access, but for other somalis it doesn't make sense at all.

Stop trolling kid. Djibouti has the highest HIV rate in somali regions. SL is second and PL third. South-central Somalia has the lowest HIV rate. I know, truth hurts.

According to UNAIDS, Somalia's national HIV prevalence rate is 0.9 percent, significantly lower than its East African neighbours, but in Somaliland the infection level is slightly higher at 1.4 percent.

Probably hargeysa has higher HIV rate than all south somalia included xamar.. Hargeysa have hughe ethiopian population and traveling between north somalia and ethiopia also is hughe.... but muqdisho dont have hughe forigniers. we have couple of thousens amisom soldiers who does not leave their camps unlike hargeysa 100 thousen ethiopian oromos who lives in the city oo si xur ah dadka ugu dhex nool. so hargeysa have higher HIV rate than whole south somalia..

I would never say never but I can't imagine Djibouti ever joining Somalia. Center of political gravity would be 2,000 KM away and Djibouti would be even more marginalized than Hargeisa. Without writing a theses -- which I neither have the time nor the inclination to prove anything on Snet -- political, militarily and economic fundamental changes have to happen before Djibouti contemplates joining Somalia -- if ever. It is more plausible Djibouti and Somali-Galbeed join together, more specifically Djibouti and Shinile Zone (not Jigjiga Zone, ludicrous) becoming one than Djibouti and Somalia at this time. Lastly, there is an entire ethnic group (Afar) who also have a stake in an independent Djibouti. Their concerns would have to be addressed in future union with Somalia.

Note: There are more absolute HIV people in Mogadishu, Hargeisa and Bosaso than Djibouti. Djibouti's HIV rate is higher due to two factors; more foreigners per capita and smaller population. Within Djibouti-Somali population the rate is far less than the average rate. Amhara/Galla/Tigrayans in Djibouti city are the problem.

I asked a friend of mine why he didn't get married when he went to Somaliland and he said half the girls got aids there lol so get out of here with Mogadishu has more aids than Hargeysa bullshit. There's been 21 years of violence how are people gna have time to fxxk around and catch aids?

Jabuutawi: Plz don't even start with that crap it's common knowledge amongst Somalis that djbouti is a sex destination in East Africa. I know qalbi xanun aa ku galey hearing those facts but lets face it Djbouti has more aids than all of the Somali regions.

so this friend of yours can magically out of the blue determine whether some girl that randomly walks past has aids?
bare in mind there are institutions in place where both bride and groom are tested free from hiv before they go off and marry?

whereas xamar has no healthcare insitutions that work alongside govt for past 23 yrs plus all those foreign soldiers plus koonfur has more population than sl therefore likely 2 be more percentage & those who were already infected but dont know as they cant afford a doctors appointment?
