i'm firm and strict when i need to be, he does try me and test my patience but when its time 'one look from me' and he gets inline real quick. i'm very lucky because he isn't shidoole, super calm and very thoughtful for such a young age. i allow him time to be a kid and just do kid things but he is very disciplined. he is like my little friend and playing and joking is how we communicate.
Children learn from their parents how to engage with others, conflict resolution and manage positively their anger. Every time you hit them, they form the idea that some conflicts could be resolved through violence by hitting others. Some kids do suffer from ADHD, autism or other behavioural related issues, therefore if your kid shows signs of up normality, it is better to visit a child psychologist and seek early intervention and skills to deal with it, rather than getting frustrated and angry with their behaviour and hitting them.
