Where do Somalis get the idea that ordinary Ethiopians hate them?

All over the internet I read Somalis talking about hating Ethiopians (ordinary Ethiopians) and wishing them ill etc. I can understand if they hate the current or previous Ethiopian governments but hating ordinary Ethiopians I just don't get it. I have never met an ordinary Ethiopian hating Somalis. The majority of Ethiopians are just neutral when it comes Somalis, they are mostly uninformed and don't give attention to the Somali situation and don't really know what the government is doing there. But why do most Somalis hate ordinary Ethiopians (at least online)?

It's mainly Somalis who are butthurt against Ethiopians while vice versa it's not the case.

Its a love and hate relationship. Ethiopia is closer to us than any other nation on earth including Saudi Arabia.

Yes I'm Ethiopian (mix of at least 3 ethnicities) but growing up in Addis where "narrow tribalism" as we call it is very much discouraged and everybody, no matter what ethnicity he may has, is encourage to embrace the Ethiopian ethnicity.

Well they hate Ethiopians for the same reason as they hate other Somalis. The Ethiopians may be of a different country but the rationale is the same. It's just that Ethiopia is a more attractive choice to hate against with this new gen. Ethiopia isnt doing itself any favours though by taking part in the civil war since the 90s and particularly occupying xamar in 2007-08.

I couldn't give a shit about ethiopians. I just want them to leave my land. The Somali region belongs to Somalis. It is iilegally occupied and the people in that region are the poorest and most abused out of all of ethiopia.

I'm Ogaden. Some of my family have married Oromos. Somalis love Oromos. But are indifferent to Tigre^Amhare etc. And we hate the government of Ethiopia. Then again we also don't like the Somali government.

Almost all opposition groups in 2007 rejected the idea of invading Somalia (except the Lidetu party) saying it is just a pretext and the then Somali government was not a national threat to Ethiopia. Many ordinary Ethiopians never supported the invasion and don't approve the continues intervention of Ethiopia in Somali affairs.

Most Western and Central Oromos are of Amhara origin. They shifted language only a few hundred years ago.
