My Ramadan journal!
I missed suhoor lastnight. I hit the snooze button. I woke up at 5 am which was too late. I prayed fajr and lounged around the living room.
8:30 am left for work, no coffee, I have a slight headache.
9:40 am my coworker is indulging on a granola bar. And is asking if I am hungry yet
10:25 am writing on Somalinet, I used to go on mini coffee and gossip break. All by myself right now. I am shutting everyone out.
P.s
Can we do the afuur topic like few ramadans ago. I could start another topic. Post what you ate for afur.

Re: My Ramadan journal!
12:26 pm the hunger is slowly creeping up to me. My coworkers went to chipotle for lunch, I don't like chipotle so I am not missing out anything. I swear I can smell the coffee brewing in the break room. I never used to drink the coffee in the break room, I am a Starbucks kind of girl, fancy or basic you be the judge. I called my mom earlier to ask what will we eat for afur and she said naa hedhee it's not even mid day and you already thinking about, qasaaro baa tahay, naag intaan laa eeg, adkayso. I didn't even complain to her about my hunger, right before she hanged up on me she said, I will be baking sambusa this year. No more oil drenched sambusas. I asked if she will make tuna sambusa for me and she said she has other priorities other than making me separate sambusa, who do I think I am? And click she hanged up on me.
12:30 pm I hope it rains. I might leave early today and take a nap later on. Inshallah.

I make my own sambusa when it comes to tuna sambusa, somalis make it will canned tuna. I sometimes spice it up and use grilled salmon.

I'm not hungry, but I've succumb to a sore throat, despite drinking plenty of water yesterday.
