Lets be honest Abdullahi Yusuf never liked marexaan to begin with and in midst of his presidency, He's managed to displace them every chance he got, their own hometown abudwaaq has been pulled in every direction when he created Xeeraale to piss them off further, and he achieved to do just that and when the two clans living there started going to war for nearly 5 months, he fully equipped his reer abti in Xeeraale who annihilated the residence of abudwaaq. (AUN) dude had hella respect of his reer abti but the way he went about it was not the best route, then again peaceful discussion is neither comprehensible nor agreeable when dealing with Somalis

The Marehan and Surre were at peace until they fought in Galgaduud (central Somalia) after General Abdullahi

As for Marexaan being large or small. Well it isn't the smallest nor is it the biggest. I'd say 20% live in central Somalia, 30% live in Ethiopia, and 50% live in Southern Somalia. Most people underestimate our presence in Ethiopia and therefore miscalculate our size.
