I RECENTLY FOR A OVERSEAS SCHORLASHIP IN MY LOCAL UNVERSITY TO FINISH MY THIRD DOUBLE MAJOR IN LAW AND POLITICAL SCIENCE...


MY HOPE WAS TO GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO STUDY IN EITHER CANADA OR THE USA..BUT FEW DAYS AGO I GOT A LETTER FROM THE DEAN OF LAW IN THE JERUSALEM CONTRAGULATING ME ON THE SCHORLASHIP, IM SHEDULE TO GO THEIR NEXT IN JANUARY FOR MY FIRST SEMESTER...THEY SENT ME TIMETABLE A SMALL BOOKLET CALLED THE "GUIDE TO STUDY IN JERUSLAM UNIVERSITY"....

OUT OF SHEAR EXCITED I DEVULGED THE INFROMATION TO ONE OF MY SOMALI FREND DOING MASTER IN POLITICAL SCIENCE....BUT HE WAS QUICK TO PINT THAT RELIGIOUS IS NOT WISE STUDING IN ISRAEL AMIDST THE PAIN OF YOUR MOSLEM BROTHERS..HE SAID ACCEPTING THE SCHORLASHIP WILL BE DOWN RIGHT IMORAL...

You should go- Hebrew university is one of the best- but Jeurasalem is also academically a good one. Isn't it in the east part of jerusalem? The arab quaters?

Religion is something that does not belong in an academic environment except in arab countries.

My sources tell me that there are muslim prof and students - my guess is that most of the teaching staff are not followers of judaism. Even if they do, there is a difference between academics and laymen.

Muslims meet christians and jews at virtually every academic institution on this earth!

your right hebrew university is prestigious...but many prominent world politician have study in jerusalem university...including Hanan ashrawi..

I would say go for it, if it is anything like University of haifa,
you will be studying with probably as many arabs as jews,
Jerusalam might be a bit tense though.
