Re: Amina iyo umuraheedi
it was nice and just thing how to sustain that happiness. what is long term solution for the family. I was thinking monthly allowance but I do not like that cause, you give message people to depend on others handouts and doesn't work in long term. it's just a bandage solution.
I really thinking, to get small project, to buy swing machines and teach ladies how to sew cloths so will be long term self sufficient.
I need some one from back home to help me. LJ find me some one trust worthy.

Great topic, 10.000 in such a short time is great news, glad she wasn't on the deportation list
Hype
You need to go there for holiday and get on the ground to start these things you talk of and establish contact and personal relationships, we have been doing this for the best part of a decade now training up midwife's, teaching several different skills so people can earn their own living, some phantom trust worthy person you send money to is not going to help, after you have a proven track record for doing this for 2 years, you'll eligible for UN funding, then you can get into long term projects like schooling etc.
Being on the ground and having seen it will give you the fire in your belly to continue for the long run without burning out after a few weeks, from all the projects we done teaching people how to grow their own crops and midwifery were the greatest, forget about schooling beyond the basic's, involves too much $$ and is too long term, you want something quick with high impact, just my 2 cents

Re: Amina iyo umuraheedi
I want give to people who are in the ground. we do not need every one to be on the ground to help others. I can help already existing projects.
Abdulmalik is a great guy who is local and on the ground. I can just help him financially to help people on the ground. nothing over night, but there are good people who are on the ground I get to know cause of this topic. Alhamdullilah.
I am not into UN money man. I help somali projects that already exist and all they need is money. very qualified people who have their own resource and do not need money for them or their families.
