The government offered an amnesty. If he is executed then that sends a message that relinquishing extremism will not be worth it. A multi prolonged strategy is starting. Ultimately only the hard core extremists will remain. I

Government must introgate him and get his information inside out how Alshabab works and knowledge of crimes they commited he might be helpful and give good information how to eliminate this group.

Alshabab is decentralized. What Rooboow knew was limited, restricted and localized, so any info he can provide is useless.

I never supported the notion of coopting these clowns. Abdi Qeybdid failed Beesha when he didn't eliminate all UIC elements at the battles of Bandiirdaley and Gelinsoor. They wouldn't have spared him if they caught him. The only guy who deserved clemency was Ciirfo who turned a blind eye
