Postby AwRastaale » Tue Jun 11, 2019 12:55 am

The finance ministers of Djibouti, Somalia and Ethiopia signed a new corridor and trade route via Djibouti, Lowyacado-Borama-Jigjiga. It will be financed by the World Bank, EU Commission and African Development Bank.

My own thought on this new development is that Ethiopia is preparing to export the oil and gas in the Somali State.

Djibouti may have convinced them to export it via Loyada.

Now Ethiopia needs ways to bring the Gadabursi and Issa online since the pipe needs to run through Gadabursi territory and hence the need to connect the corridor to Borama.

With Ethiopia signature, Hargeisa administration has no room to make any noise. They were happy to give Ethiopia free 19% but now things are much more important with oil and gas at stalk. It has been outmaneuvered. There's nothing it can do or say except perhaps send Muse and Saylaci for "symbolic" ribbon cutting. They can never disobey Addis Ababa.

Ethiopia needs reliable port outlets more than ever with the turmoil in Sudan. No one knows if Sudan will ever overcome it's current chaos with various groups and actors all trying to get to the top.

Port Sudan may go offline.

Djibouti has thus far proved itself to be the most reliable.

Ilyas Loyacaday uu iskaga so turay twitter. Djibouti ports are less than 100 miles, yet spend hundreds of millions of dollars to build infrastructure in Loyacaday? Makes no economic sense. But if that is true, good news for the region. First though, Abdallah Hassan Mammasan and Gadabursi have to come to peace. Easier said than done.

Btw, assistant minister of finance for federal Ethiopia is former mayor of DD, an Odaxgob like me, a Yonis Mousse 👍🏿.

Al Murtad

I feel your pain. The project just got outmaneuvered. Farmajo did indeed closed the canal.

I'm waiting for Faisal Ali Warabe to break the news to the misled Waqooyi Galbeed citizens.

Checkmate Jeegaan. Farmaajo convinced Ethiopia along with Djibouti to pass the pipeline through Dir land. Thus, killing the old 19% Berbera Tigray deal. Oromo need a strong Somalia to counter the highlanders. Somalia needs Somaliland isolated enough to return to the union. Djibouti gains economical wise and thus becomes the next Dubai of EA.

All IOG has to do is make Khadro Hayd call her cousin and tell him STFU.

Chess not checkers. Plus, Garxajis is on the move.

And who would dare and land on SL to build a road that is determintal to SL economy ? Your baby daddy Xaarmaajo himself can't even land in these territories.

Sometimes your vindictive wiggling kintir looses reality. No such a road would be built, it's clanish in nature and it's aim is to seperate western Somaliland from Berbera and incite the clans concerned against SL.

You have more chances your Amxaaro daddy and Isxaaq thot becoming president in SL then this project materializing.

Who is this fool trying to kid.
The new corridor is a Djibouti-Borama-Jigjiga connection.
This has nothing to do with separation, on the contrary, it's designed to integrate three Somali inhabited regions.

If the jeegan regime attempts to sabotage this vital project......their filthy clannish agenda will be totally exposed.

It won't happen and it will never happen, don't matter how occupied faqash like you wish and how out of wedlock Amxaaro children wish as well.

This project is an obvious affront to SL and a danger to its economy and also a tribal incitement.

The WB and the European financiers know the reality on the ground and SL will have none of this tribal game of divide and conquer. Borama uses Berbera port they have no need for Djibouti and if Jigjiga wants to trade and use Djibouti port they can use it through their Ethiopian region.

Why would Djibouti need SL western regions to access Ogaden land? It's pure sabotage that's why the Amxaaro one night stand and his side kick Caaro's cyberspace baby Miss Bohol posting this news.

The tears of a kafir on the chopping board.

The ministers and their Governments have spoken. He actually thinks Ethiopia's unofficial 6th Kilil can reject a regional pact.

Addis will call governor Bihi and it's done deal.

It won’t happen, if the minister who signed the deal can’t land there, it doesn’t hold any water. We shall see tho, time is the best confirmer.

If Djibouti wishes to link with Ethiopia and her regions, they have a border to do so.

As for ogadenia, their dependency on berbera is set to increase as the road project looks to start.

Somaliland had always wanted road from lawyocado to borama actually it's already started and it's part of our national plan after we complete the ceerigaabo project. The other important project is the road from burao via oodwayne to hargeisa. If shaytaan pays the money for these two projects we gonna take it . It will definitely increase our revenues by taxing everything including the people .

Kudos to beyle , we gonna give him hero's welcome if he succeeds to secure the money for this project within the next 1 and half years , which I doubt because farmaajo government is not coming back any way , we have already decided to change him . Somaliland will directly get involved in the next presidential selections for somalia in multiple ways , including Dirism, Irirism , money from both our side and our clients, and anti faqash social media activism for the Hutu audience. The cheesman will be melted .

for what and why?? sometimes it takes you a period to understand simple things . There is no need for a road from Loyacado to Borama , hardly anything of value comes to Somaliland from Djibouti. What you are missing is that Djibouti wants to isolate Borama ana Ciise region from Somaliland and connect it to itself and Ethiopia , thus this scheme .
