Jigjiga is a city where all Somalis meet-
First let me remind you to fast the first 9 days of dhul hijah, including carafa
I have come to realize in Jigjiga, you will find Iidoor that believe in Somaliland wearing it's flag, Ogaden who believe in breaking away, Somalis who believe in staying, others indifferent.
Suffice to say, I think Jigjiga should be the venue for discussions between Somaliland and Somalia. Although the local somali are pro one Somalia, the circumstances their in (controlled by Ethiopia) and the close & frequent contact with the Somalilanders has allowed them to have a level of tolerance towards other Somalis not seen else where.
Frequently, singers, well known celebrities come over from Hargaysa to put on a show or sing in Jigjiga.
The place is less than an hour away from the Somaliland border and some of the clans that live in Somaliland, also live on the other side.
The hatred that some pile on hear about the "Daarood" boogymen doesn't seem to exist. People genuinely seem to get along with each other (excluding sub sub sub clan squabbles) likely due to the bigger reality facing them all -ie Ethiopia

Firstly wipe that drool off your mouth Cagdheer.
Secondly, what would Jigjiga offer as a venue that any other city wouldn't?
You seem to think that Jigjiga is a good venue because "singers, well known celebrities come over from Hargaysa to put on a show or sing in Jigjiga"... in case you were living under a rock, they also do this in London/Paris/Dubai..etc.

Jidwaaq are so brave when it comes to Ogaden and see us as their enemy while their only enemies, other somalis, who came to land grab their city come their with no problems. Cajiib.

Re: Jigjiga is a city where all Somalis meet-
well can you name me any clan that claims jigjiga as its own exclusively? all land across the world belongs to nation-states not tribes/ethnic groups so jigjiga belongs to all of us ethiopians whether your darod, my isaaq or non-somalis such as amharasKartiHaween wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2019 7:46 pmBy claiming JIgJiga as belonging to them when historically it has always belonged to Jidwaaq.DaroorMan wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2019 12:39 pmin what way are non-absame more hostile to jidwaaq than OG?KartiHaween wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2019 10:48 am Jidwaaq are so brave when it comes to Ogaden and see us as their enemy while their only enemies, other somalis, who came to land grab their city come their with no problems.
