Basically the "boundary" doesn't end where the last CONTINENTAL point is. Continental is the land directly connected to the landmass of Somalia and Kenya. That 10% still has million worth of oil doesn't it? What does following a different rock mean? There's only one median line is there not?
WRONG!!!I don’t think it’s that simple. Kenya lost 90 percent of its claim but Somalia also lost half of its claim. Both countries made claimsThe 10% that Kenya took obviously Villa Somalia conceded.Watching live Court trashes Kenya legally, clearly sides with Somalia on ALL legal issues.
The Court chose a different rock to follow the Somalia-Kenya boundary than Somalia, but the point is the Court backed SOMALIA'S ARGUMENT THE SEA BOUNDARY FOLLOWED THE LAND BOUNDARY.
SOMALIA TOOK 90% OF THE DISPUTED WATERS AND WON ON ALL LEGAL MERIT AND CLAIMS!!!

How much was Farmajo paid by Kenya to forfeit the 10%?
Under MSB 1988 he forfeited the Ogaden region to Mengistu dung the first IGAD meeting in Djibouti.
What good job?Good job by the SFG.
Oh give it up, your 10 year mercenary payroll from Kenya is all a failure tonight. FinitoWhat good job?Good job by the SFG.

Absolutely. Thanks for the explanation.Basically the "boundary" doesn't end where the last CONTINENTAL point is. There are OFFSHORE islands and rocks that are included in what the boundary between Somalia and Kenya is.
For example the Islands off Ras Kamboni are OFFSHORE land boundary between Kenya and Somalia.
The Court used the last rock recognized by BOTH countries as their boundary to adjust the line.
This is a technical adjustment USING THE LEGAL VICTORY FOR SOMALIA THAT THEIR SEA BORDER FOLLOWS THE LAND BOUNDARY NOT THE LINE OF PARALLEL WHICH WAS KENYA'S ARGUMENT.
So Somalia won the legal argument that was the basis for the Court Case, but using the Somalia argument, the Court reached a slight different adjustment on what constitutes the "boundary."
Does that make sense?
Their 10 year mercenery payroll is all gone tonight.A detailed map of the new boundary:
According to Kenya's The Star, "The International Court of Justice on Tuesday awarded Somalia control of most of a potentially oil- and a gas-rich chunk of the Indian Ocean", meaning Kenya's minor stake is insignificant.

This is not something to glout with when you understand the court threw out the MoU signed by Abdirahman Abdi Shakur. In conclusion we lost land not because of MoU signed by past administrations but the incompetency of Farmajo governmentA detailed map of the new boundary:

The court threw out the claim that there was any agreement between somalia and kenya where they agreed on a parallel boundary to the latitude line. Meaning the ICJ rejected the MOU was an agreement on the sea boundary but accepted that it was a document showing there's a maritime dispute between somalia and kenya. This is not something to glout with when you understand the court threw out the MoU signed by Abdirahman Abdi Shakur.
