Everything you wrote about somalis is 100% right!
Cawar and co are in a state of denial. There is nothing to be proud of as a somali. Everything about us stinks.
We are at the lowest strata of any measurable variable including the qualititive values.
Cawar, could you tell us anything that somalis are good at except deciet, lies, murders, tribalism, the rape of a nation, the love for power, greed, watching news, listening to romors, living off welfare, worshiping tribalism?

Globe this is where i too doubt your origins.
please let me explain where im going with this.
Every somali feels himslef to be superior to everybody else, even those born overseas and cant speak a word of somali,
thier inate sense of somaliness was enough to make them proud.
whereas you seem to be ashamed of bieng somali.
Extreme pride even arrogance is in your blood man,
even i have this feeling of pride even though i know it is illogical.

there is a psychological explanation and there are others.
Let me start with the psychological.
Like all pastoral people, we have developed a more or less egalitarian soceity in which most people are equal.
No clergy (until today)
No gentry
no classification of society( except for the poor midaans)
this egalitarianism and individualism creates a feeling of superiority and arogance over others in all most Pastoral societies.
The Afar think everybody is scum and they are on top,
Same with the Borana oromas, while the settled oromos like the arsi and others are peacefull and dont have the superiority complex.
The fulani and Huasa have the same attitude, the bedioun arab believes
deep inside that all other arabs should be nothing but slaves.

Pastrolism is in our history but many of us (in our generation) have never minded a sheep let alone a camel- so we are not nomads nor egaliterian.
The fact of the matter is that we (even the educated class) intepretes ARROGANCE AS BEING THE SAME AS PRIDE.
Suffering from a superiority complex when everything tells you that you are inferior is a case of arrogance.

Gurey,
For starters we should abandon praising a redundant culture (it might have served us well if we live in a nomadic society but we live in the 21st century).
Recognize the limits of our culture
Admit its limitations
Criticize it
There were times when somalis had pride, our culture was good
But the last 20 years ou culture is one of greed, murder, tribalism, welfarism and deciet- don't you agree?

Gamadid,
What do you mean ???? This issue is not about parents- it is about somalis. Grow up for fuccing sake. I recall you wrote that no asharaf woman would accept me-- NEWS I am dating an old sweet-heart- an asharaf to test your theory- and guess what? She is in love and there are indications that she is your relative
Gurey, Tell us what is so good about clanism????
