You shouldn't hide your children from scientific theories from fear that they will be corrupted.

ps You're all making the same points but with different words.

Yeah, it should! but only to proof their theories or views are totally false and wrong.

So do sex education. Muslims need to encourage youngsters and teach them not to have sex before marriage.

surrender wrote:we (muslims) DO believe in Creationism, the islamic version of course, and yes definetly it should be taught at school.

The simple fact that you ''believe'' in it does not amount to enough of reason as to why it should be taught. Putting aside that YOU 'believe' in it, why do you think it (creationism) should be taught in schools?
it over rides the fairy tale of theory of evolution that humans have created.

Can you show me how exactly the theory of evolution is a ''fairy tale''?
i personally was taught creationsim at malcamah at a very young age, it still stuck in my head, and thats one of the reasons why i can defend and dont buy humans fairy tales i.e darwinism.

So, your whole reasoning against evolution is because you were taught crationism from a young age, and it stuck in your head; and upon simply that, you decided the theory of evolution is a ''fairy tale''?

Evolution is Not 100% against Islam... Indeed Evolutionary theory add to the validity , divinity and the Authenticity of the Quran. The Quran does not need anything to validate... yes I get it. but I have read a paper by a sheikh online about how the Islamic creation story has a lot in common with Evolutionary theory.

Still there are major differences but Science is not against the Quran.

We are living in the modern world (excluding saudi arabia), evolution SHOULD be taught in schools. If parents wish, they can teach their kids creationism.
