The Ethiopians are using scorched earth tactics near Wardheere to prevent the ONLF gaining the upper hand, they burned down a whole town recently that they suspected was harboring ONLF fighters.

Shilabo district is right next door to Wardheere, and Wardheere is the most important town in the "tip" of the Ogaden. Their progress thus far is heading in the direction of Wardheere, and that is probably their objective.

The other tactic they use is to arrest the families of these freedom fighters and beat them in prisons telling them t bring their sons wh are suspected ONLF members. A friend of mine whose family is from Yucub near Wardheer told me that his father is in jail because two of his brothers are with the ONLF. The father is being tortured in a prison camp.

But these freedom fighters know that that freedom is never free!!!!!
