Has anyone been to the Maldives?

Everytime I hear the word exotica (not erotica you perv) Maldives comes to my mind, even though I don't have the slightest idea why that is happening, could it be destiny?!! I even had dreams about being there, sipping fresh cocunut under a palm tree, feet in a crystal clear blue sea and certain Halimo sitting next to me.

I am planning of realizing those dreams this Summer and any info will be highly appreciated.

Never been there but the grandmother of a friend of mine is married to a guy from there. According to the kid the place is heaven on earth! the natives are abit aggresive if you mingel with their cultur but otherwise the place is nice and adoring when it comes to females( the ones on tour ofcourse)

why would i ever want to go to a crowded, over heated, over priced, probably short lived typical so called vacation when i can go fly fishing in the peace and quite New Zealand has to offer?
