There are some factual errors in the article, but the biggest issue is the author is simply trying to throw stones at the administration and it's transparent. If you want to be taken seriously, then you should write like an intellectual, and not a ten year old with an axe to grind.

Fact: Havnig the UIC running Somalia was not in our interest.r

Fact: Ethiopia was going in, with or without our consent.

Mad Mac seriously i thought that u had more intelligence then that.

Fisrt of all ethiopia is run by a dictator i.e meles and he's little tribe, he invaded somalia to move attention from the problems in he's country.

Also it was the US goverment that told their dicator meles to invaded somalia to remove the ICU goverment.

Looking at whats happening in somalia now and the Horn of Africa i don't think that it is in Americas interest nor somalia to keep ethiopian troops in somalia.

We all know that Meles would never had went into somalia if the US goverment warned him not too, otherwise he would have found himself without no more US aid, the only thing that keeps him in power.

"Fisrt of all ethiopia is run by a dictator i.e meles and he's little tribe, he invaded somalia to move attention from the problems in he's country."

Meles chose to invade Somalia because the ICU had clearly stated its intention to attack Ethiopia to regain the Ogaden and ultimately which to establish an Islamic Caliphate from Kahrtoum to Mogadischu (as stated by Aweys). Not surprisingly, the Ethiopians did not see this development in their interests.

"Also it was the US goverment that told their dicator meles to invaded somalia to remove the ICU goverment."

You do not know that, and neither do I. Exactly what the nature of the discussions were has not been released. You are making assumptions which may or may not be valid. One thing I do know, having been assigned to HOA and working with the Ethiopians, they are not our lackeys. We have some shared interests........there is a difference.

"Looking at whats happening in somalia now and the Horn of Africa i don't think that it is in Americas interest nor somalia to keep ethiopian troops in somalia."

Anything that prevents Islamists from coming to power, and anything that demonstrates to other Islamists that we are prepared to hurt them badly if they get too bold, is in our interests.

"We all know that Meles would never had went into somalia if the US goverment warned him not too, otherwise he would have found himself without no more US aid, the only thing that keeps him in power."

We don't know any such thing. I think you underestimate Meles political acumen and his independence.
