Ramadan Stories: The Life and Times of Iskabolow

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Sat Sep 15, 2007 8:48 pm

Ramadan is a tough time for iskabolow: reduced calorie intake, dambi alert, and the constant search for quality afuur.

So far, I have managed to get over 40 frozen sambuus, 20 bur, malawax, timir, zabayid, maraq in my fridge.

Thank you Rer PG, your kindness !

Remember iskabolow, its not shameful to bring tupperware to take food away.

AW's Suxur Delights:

1. Grits with a touch of butter and brown sugar,

2. Lentil soup with loaf of brown bread

3. 1 liter of water to drink

Not enough time to cook:

1. Wheaties or Weetabix with whole milk

2. Moos to kill the acidity brought by gaajo.

3. Drink 1 liter of water

A/Wahab,

Your welcome to my place for Afur anytime provided you leave your political views at the door. J/k. Laughing

As for Suxur, its always porridge or "booresh" (In Somali) and lots of water. Cool

But I never wake up for Suxur. Confused

Luq,

When it comes to eating food, I am nonqabili.

I will sing the lessons of guulwade & xalane if the afuur is good.

AW252: I noticed it helps to have themes for different nights. Asian one night, Indian another night....etc.
