DawladSade so u would have supported than i guess. well the way i see it no one knew the man was gonna become a defacto dictator with no election's. but am just baffled how can someone be so proud of a dictator. just because someone comes from the same clan doesnt mean u have to worship them. its a good thing to have an open minded and take an example from me. i hate Riyaale with a passion and guess what his wife is a 4th distant cousin of my father. and am not the only one in that same boat almost everyone despises him in awdal and thus he never visits his hometown or region.

Siyad Barre and Riyaale cannot be compared. Riyaale never has or probably never will sniff the heights of power that MSB reached. MSB whether you like him or hate him, was a president of a nation, and Riyaale is basically a Somali faction leader, therefore MSB will ofcourse strike more passions of admiration or hate then anybody in Somali politics today. Dude, Cigal, Riyaale and many of these other "Somaliland" politicians worked for MSB dude.

Luq u missunderstood me i was putting them in the same notion because it seems to me those who support Siad Barre with a passion and never accept the fact that if he was fair and allowed elections we wouldnt have somalia where it is today. again i was just showing that even though Riyaale is a samaroon he doesnt have the vast majority of the samaroon vote. but at the other end it seems every Marexaan in here supports and worships siad barre with a passion. Ill give ya another example than Fidel Castro and Siad Barre would be comparable as they are both were or are president's pr dictators of a nation, and we know how almost the majority of cubans feel about their leader and goverment. Now my question is how can u those who support Siad Barre support the coup that took place. As for Riyaale Sniffing the power Siad had i hope that never happens cause i gurantee ya Siad would be an angel compared what Riyaale would do to the nation.

So are you comparing MSB's popluarity or lacktherof with Fidel Castro? How many tens of thousands fled Cuba after Fiedel's coup? How many millions of refugees left Somalia AFTER Siyad was toppled? MSB made mistakes no doubt about it, and I don't constantly praise or worship him. I've never attacked someone for attacking MSB. He can be liked or disliked for anybody and for any reason. Therefore the statement that all Marehans worship Siyad Barre is false bro.

General Daud was indeed a great man who was dedicated to Somalia's well being. He never attempted to step out of his boundary nor did he aimed to kill anyone for being a certain qabiil...Man like him sure are hard to come by this days regrettably, may he rest in peace.
