Ethiopia - Why you shoud support our troops

Ethiopia, a regional military power and one of the the strongest army in Africa is a nightmare for its enemies and strategic competitors in the horn of Africa and the Arab world. With a population of nearly 75 million and a growing economy, Ethiopia is a strategically important country in Africa. Our enemy's goal is to destabilize Ethiopia by supporting any opposition to Ethiopia's unpopular government in Addis and dismantle Ethiopia's unity in hoping to create a weakened country and all Ethiopians should fight to stop this.
When 74 Ethiopian and Chinese oil workers were killed in their sleep by the terrorist ONLF, the opposition in diaspora did not immediately condemn it. Some even went as far as congratulating the terrorists. Most people would consider CUD to be a patriotic if not nationalist party that prides itself in supporting the unity of Ethiopia's territorial integrity. CUD leadership should make it very clear to its supporters where it stands on ONLF issue. Supporting Ethiopian troops campaign against ONLF terrorist does not equate to supporting EPRDF. Ethiopia's military should not be politicized and its number one job is to protect the country.
There are only two options for ONLF, come to the negotiation table and abandon the terrorist action or face the music and get prepared to be decimated by the mighty Ethiopian Army.
EPRDF has made one of the worst mistakes in Ethiopia's modern history by allowing Eritrea to secede and making Ethiopia a landlocked country. It blew up yet another chance in 2000 to get back Assab port when Ethiopia's mighty military decimated Shabian forces and controlled over 50% of Eritrea. It is perhaps the first time in history when a country won the war and lost a land. It should be in Ethiopia's foreign policy to get back Assab by any means including the use of force. But Ethiopia should not let a second mistake happen to see the oil rich Ogaden to fall under the terrorist ONLF.
It's time for all Ethiopians to unite and support our troops in the fight against any secessionist movement. Ethiopia is bigger than partisan politics.
