I Dare You All!

I dare you all Somali speaking forumers to speak nothing, but Somali for a whole day. At home, with friends, with relatives, even on the forum.

I made a bet with my sister on Saturday for both of to not speak a word of Somali or the looser would pay $.50 for each word spoken that wasn't Somali. It was a fun excercise, but more difficult than I thought. We've become so dependent on English, its disgusting.

Just give it a try and see how you do!

loooooool i'm busted.I agree with you is much easier believe me i'm the only one who talk perfect somali...my other siblings...inaalilaah...they cant say a whole right sentence in soomali without talking swedish..

My point exactly! Some words in English, I don't even know their replacement in Somali and some things just sound better in a foreign language.
