Why don't the men play the game? lol I am glad the girls are playing it and staying fit, although that is not really necessary in a place like Somalia but these fockers need to play too so they can get off the street and quit khat. Wallahi Xamar is packed. Even in the midst of a war between the militias and the occupation army, these guys managed to pack the stadium. lol

I just got off the phone with my cousin in Beled Xawo and she was telling me they are hosting at their house a marexaan family that fled xamar when I asked her about the little who picked up her phone.

so many people have left the city yet I believe it still has more people than any other city in Somalia. I think it will take other somali cities longer than our lifetime to catch up or even come close to xamar, that is if they ever do.

They say as much as 3 million people live there.. My mom goes there every summer and she says it feels like nobody ever left the city thats how packed it is...
