Can Somaliland live by politics and diplomatics??

Postby Adan*5 » Wed Jan 02, 2008 7:21 pm

they are doing well in the diplomatic front, and virtualy they are all politicians....lol

isn't it time that they put the same effort in building a sustainable society, econimically ,infrastructure, etc a one better than the narc wretched, drain and severly poor society they are living in currently.

they can do it,they have the means, I don't understand what keeps them in that poor level for long time.

I have yet to meet a lander thats been back home thats proud of what they seen except the peace and the order..

50 percent of Somaliland GDP is for weapons/military.......... No development can seriously come but then they could be invaded by faqash if they don't buy weaponry... Catch 22

what do you know ??

Hargeisa has traffic lights in centrum.
The real estate is booming , ask anyone what a peace of land costs today.
You can't get anything under 400 000 USD in Hargeisa downtown for a business / buildning+land .

Hargeisa wadada cad to Xamar , beautiful road through Hawd from Airportka has been fixed.
Right now a company is working to construct a more sufficient water system for the whole city as the old one is not providing enough.

Dila - Borama road is being financed by the private Diaspora.

As Berbera - Hargeisa was financed just a decade before.

Now EU , Ethiopia and Somaliland is working together on the Berbera corridor project
Berbera - Hargeisa - TogWajaale - Addis Abeba

And did I mention the whole coast has been scanned by a 2D seismic company TGS NOPEC , worlds
largest company. OIL AND GAS coming up Insha Allah .
UN opened their first HQ office in Hargeisa, the old one was administrated from Nairobi .

Hargeisa Airport is working 24 hours night and day
Hargeisa Airport is getting fixed for Jet planes to land (!)

We are in progress

PS did you know North Korea is one of our businesspartners in armory!
Adde Muse is our agent.

We need all that to keep Somalia in check one day.

the mercenery politicians will put e-thing from world bank in their own pockets, then the people will take the burden.

somaliland has better off without the help of world bank,it only brings misery

the diaspora cantribution is much more benifital if managed good way,

Its called healthy growt

our economy growth was at the biggest in 2000
over 13.4 % .

Then it crippled down to 5 % or something and even smaller in the years to come because of Saudi Nacalaa ban on Livestock. I can give you source later -

Government lost 45 % of its revenues
The business community lost 115 million USD trade yearly .

Did it make a impact ?? ... yes :(

But now we are back in business
