Somalia has been a lawless country for about seventeen years, but it has been a broken country for more twenty years. Before the collapse of the Siyad bare regime, the country was facing economic choas, mass rebelion and brutal dictatorship. The collapse of Siyad Bare Regime was welcomed by almost all Somali people who were tired of the tribalist and corrupted regime of Mohamed Siyad Bare. However it was the last genuine goverment of Somalia. Somalian Proverb Says, bad government is better than none. Bad government was ment a dictatorship government or military government whatever you call it that has a total control of the country it is governing. It is not like Abdullahi Yusuf type government that has only control of couple cities.
Lawlessness Of Somalia shocked the world. When Somali people who were supposed to form a national unity government after the collapse of the Somali government in 1991 failed to establish any legitimate government, instead they turned against each other with a brutal and inhumane violence, killing innocent people, women and kids, calling each other, enemies, made borders, they divided Somalia into villages. Then ignorant and tyrant warlords took control of Somalia, They ruined what was once called paradise into the most dangerous and violent places in the whole world. Images that come from Somalia through world televions, show tiny and starving kids and women to death, alient looking gunmen, rough cities ruined by civil wars. Those horrible images from Somalia have shocked the people of the world and we are no longer considered wise people who can bring peace and prosperity to their main and independent country>Somalia
After the collapse of Somali Regime, many Somalis have fled from Somalia to other countries including, Kenya, Ethiopia and South Africa. Large communities of Somalis live at refugee camps in Kenya, Yemen, and many people made their way to Europe, North America and middle east. Somalia is now considered by the United Nations, the world's worst humantarian crisis. What does that mean. find it out yourself. Most grown men and women in the outside world including us in North America want Somalia to get peace but warlords inside the country want their way of self rule and villagism. Every couple cities are run by independent and corrupted warlords.
One thing is that Many and Many Somali people both in the country and at the refugee camps in the neighboring countries want come to Europe or North America. Many risked their lives in the Indian ocean by boarding unsafe boats, run by smugglers just to get into yemen. Those unsafe boats break in the ocean or smugglers force people to get off the boats miles away from the shore fearing that they might be cought and put lives of hundreds of Somalis at risk. Pulling out corpses of Somali women, men and kids out of Yemen coast became the norm. The buttom-line of this note is. What do you think that will put Somalia back to peace and prevent the country to be divided into villages, called: Korland, Omarland, beefland etc. So, you will tell your children that they are originally from Somalia, the African paradise, the beauty of Africa with longest beach, the world's livestock land and farmland etc
