WANTING TO MOVE TO THE UK

IM 18 FROM MONTREAL AND WAS THINKING OF MOVING TO ENGLAND AFTER THIS SCHOOL YEAR IS FINISHED WHICH IS IN JUNE AND ID BE DONE HIGH SCHOOL BY THEN..WHAT WOULD I NEED TO DO? SAY I HAVE MY DIMPLOMA FROM CANADA WOULD I BE ABLE TO APPLY TO COLLEGES ONCE I GET THERE? HOW DOES THE BRITSH SCHOOL SYSTEM WORK?

They do accept international students..ofcourse this comes with a large fee. It depends how well you did in highschool and what course you want to apply for..you need to look into what international requirements are expected of you. Apply through UCAS.. and very quickly...though you probably won't start until 2009.

Don't move to the UK. You can have a much, much better living in North America. The UK is a shithole. Why don't you move to Toronto. Toronto has three universities. You can live in the suburbs for cheaper rent and there's good public transportation.

If you still have plans of living in the Uk, you should do so after you get your university degree. International fees are very high especially when you consider that the pound is worth much more than the Canadian dollar.

wow really? i dont know i guess ive always wanted to live in london...seems nice in movies..rainy soo BRITSH!!!...but ya snowflakes i feel you on that living condions for somalis over there isnt the best..and as for lost boys remark..life is what you make of it. I visited London in 2001. I remember my sister and I were sooooo excited about going there b/c of how movies depict the city. But, that's not reality. Besides the rich areas, London is ghetto, dirty and very expensive. Its also very dangerous.

Canada and the US, in my opinion, is heads and shoulders better than the UK. The divide between the rich and the poor is much greater in the UK.

Thanks everyone for your input..i have to think about it..and im not being a tribalist cause im far from that but how come i only hear of northern somalis or "somalilanders" living in london lool and the whole uk i ddint know one tribe was so big to populate awhole country. I know when people come to MTL from toronto they say oh you frenchie to the somalis(djiboutians) in this city which isnt alot...but london wooow
