Al-itixaad as a military group i don't know but Al-itixaad as a group(Hizb) in religious terms still exists. This group has similar beliefs as the Ikhwaanis. the problem with this group is that they have became a group(hizb). In Islam there is only one group not many. the path to Allah is one not many. It is haraam to divide into groups. it doesn't matter how righteous the group you make is, you can't make a new group or be apart of it. As muslims we follow the quran and the sunnah and the way of the salaf(the early generation of islam). we don't follow the way of AL-itixaad, sufi, ikhwaani, shia, etc. all these groups are groups of misguidance. the prophet said my ummah will divided into 73 groups and all of them will be in the Hell-fire except one. the prophet didn't just tell us a problem without giving us a solution. He said that this saved group follows what I and my companions are upon, meaning they follow the sunnah of the prophet and the sunnah(way) of his companions.
So inshallah we ask Allah to make us those that are saved from falling into these differing groups and stay upon the path of saved group. Amiin
