According to my records, Somalia is one of the poorest countries with GDP averaging around $5 billion, which would be about $800 per person, which is still pretty low...Anyways the truth is Somalia's economy is gettin back on track and that's all due to Puntland and Somaliland. You are spot on in your assessment as far as Somalia is concerned especially when stacked against Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Algeria and other African nations. Somalia hasn't even been ranked on the continent due to its current situation and well the UN and African Union refuse to even rank Somaliland because in their eyes it isn't a recognized separate state.
