Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan

The Soviets entered Afghanistan at the will of the Marxist People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan (PDPA), who invited them in. Afghanistan has clans just like us and were fighting over that.

Now what made Afghanistan a Jihad and not Somalia.

Afghanistan has different ethnic groups. Tajik, Pashtun, hazara, ezbek, Nuristani etc

The pashtun have different tribes/clans..........

But all afghanis united against the russians.... secondly.... The afghans never had turbulent past like somalis and they are not fighting of pasture land and crap. They have nomads but they are civilized nomads. unlike us.

But the Afghans were fighting before, and thats what caused the Soviets to set up that government and invade after the Shah was overthrown. True they weren't in 17 years of civil war before but u would belief a good amount supported the Soviets at the beginning.
Were all Afghans united, at the beginning, u would think people came together over time or were they all united at the beginning.

If only our nomads became civilized

Afgans were fighting like civilized ppl's.....They also weren't harboring hatred towrads fellow Muslims aka other Afgans.
