Why is it wrong to celebrate Christmas?

Postby Mr. Yungnfresh » Wed Mar 19, 2008 11:41 pm

But not wrong to celebrate the Mowliid? Or is it wrong to celebrate the birth of Jesus (AS) but OK to celebrate the birth of Muhammad (SAW)?

The Messenger (Muhammad Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)." (Qur'an 2:285)

"And those who believe in Allah and His Messengers and make no distinction between any of them (Messengers), We shall give them their rewards, and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Qur'an 4:152)

im sayin, if it's a good thing to celebrate Muhammad SAW's birthday, then we should celebrate ALL the Prophet's birthdays...regardless of when they were born
im sayin, if it's a good thing to celebrate Muhammad SAW's birthday, then we should celebrate ALL the Prophet's birthdays...regardless of when they were born
i strongly suggest u follow the teachings and customs of our prophet(P.B.U.H) and not the paths of some lost qaadiriyas who conjured up their own brand of Islam... on that note ask yourself. did prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H.) ever celebrated Jesus's birthday?...or did Jesus ever celebrated Moses's b-day?..and so on and so forth of respect to previous messengers?

if you are not following their practices who are u following?

lol we're on the same team walaal...im tryna show ppl who celebrate the Mowliid that it doesn't make sense to celebrate one Prophet's birthday and reject the others when the Qur'an clearly says there's no distinction between them....celebrating Jesus' (AS) birthday and celebrating Muhammad's (SAW) birthday are equally as wrong and bidca to the fullest

advo, happy January 1st to u and ur family sxb

assalamu al'eykum, none of us are better then the sahabah neither do any of us love the rasul (salalahu aleyhi wasalaam) more then them. no matter how much we claim it. so why should be celebrate an eid that was not celebrate by Abu bakr and Umar (radialahu anhu ajm'aeen).
