have you ever felt like beating up a kid that wasn't yours?

Postby *zabah » Mon Apr 21, 2008 12:33 pm

I walked up to the store to grab some staff this morning and when I got to the corner store, I saw 3 kids all about 7-9 surrounding this poor mentally challenged kid. Now I have seen this guy walk about a mile to and from his job almost every day, he never has a nasty look or word to give anyone...and these kids were harassing him.

2 of them had sense enough to walk very quickly away when they saw me coming...the third was not so lucky...he was too busy walking circles around the guy making that hand against chest arm guesture idiots do to mean retarded people. And I couldnt refrain...I handled myself well for not yelling at him like i would have if it was my kid or niece or nephew...

but I still couldnt refrain from chewing him out. I dont even remember exactlly the extent of what i said...something along the lines of you dont treat anyone that way...just because someones different than you doesnt mean you're better than them. That what they were doing was so disrespectful...I said much much more i couldnt help it it made me so angry to see.

Then the kid tried to cover what he was doing by sayiong he was just joking the guy was his friend...bullshit little twit thought id fall for that. I told him that was disrespectful (the hand guesture he had made) the guy said to me...we're not friends he hates me and is mean to me ...the guy look so relieved to see me once i started in on the kid It nearly broke my heart wallahi maskin.

How the hell can even a child be so cruel. It astounds me...If he was my kid he wouldnt have been able to sit for months.

Too bad he wasnt with a parent at the time...i would have told them what went on no matter if he/she got pissed at someone else for scolding their kid. and im damn glad i did it too. maybe next time he'll think twice.

Salam alaikum

i can't simpelly stand this generations children..

now days i think their parents should be held responsible because they are not giving or teaching or you can say preaching their children that good quality of discipline..parents are first teachers to a child...and if teachers themselves doesnt teach properly then finally the children will not be able to come up to the mark..

Kids do not think things through, the parents did not raise the kids right. I remember when I was a child I was told never to make fun of mentally retarded people because your making fun of God's creation.
Don't stress out on what dumb kids do, all you had to say was I am going to speak to your parents, kids at that age are scared shitless of their parents.

lol@xidigow, you couldn't have said that any better..

Naima, you are so right, the parents should be held responsible to some extent although it depends on the kid... He lookes pretty ashamed of what he did after I was finsihed yelling at him. he didn't join his friends who had bolted before..inshallah he will learn his lesson and will be kind to people next time.

I would've done what you did. Tell them what they're doing is wrong.
