To do all that you need some sort of organized armed force.
and you are forgeting allot of important things like ,
geography.
the chadian rebels that attacked the capital N'djamena came from the Sudanese border across flat desert plains,
and they consisted of 1000 technicals and about 5000 men in a raid
reminecent of a a mongol ordu or a ghazawat from turkic cavalary.
Geography is not on your side when fighting ethiopia, you need to take it into acount and make it your friend, do not fight against geography.
furthermore one giant mobile sortie is not enough to take a big city
and it can only work when launched across a small distance a few hundred miles, becuase if the ethiopian airforce is alerted it would easily put a stop to it.
a massed grouping of technicals is extremely vulnerable to artillary fire and even airraids, this is becuase they are soft skinned.
Airpower is ineffective if you dont have the proper comman, control and communications and observation capabilities.
The ethiopian airforce would be of little use against a modern armoured brigade, but will easily devastate anything else.
and besides they could always recieve external aid , i.e american sattellite and aerial recon, as well as intel.
you cannot look at strategy or tactics without linking them broadly to
political movement, they are all interlinked.
Somalia requires a politcal solution before a millitary solution.
