Those things were fabricated lies by Reuters & AP, I was in Xamar in June 2006 which was at the height of the ICU's rule, nobody banned the world cup, I personally used to watch it every night, so did countless others. There was 1 incident involving some Al-shabaab members who came across a group of men watching it during Maghrib prayers and told them to disperse and pray, when they refused, Al-shabaab turned off the TV. That incident was taken, exaggerated and blastered everywhere. Al-shabaab leaders were asked and they made it clear that it was the work of 1 contingent and not the stance of the ICU, Ceyroow himself said he plays soccer and laughed it off, it was on the radio while I was still in Xamar.

The ICU did not have the policing capacity to enforce ludicrous claims like banning movies, world cup, mixed weddings, etc. Xamar is a huge city, how could they possibly go around policing every house? Do people even know how to use common sense anymore?

As for veiled women, the women were veiled before them & after them, for their own fear of being raped, this trend had nothing to do with the ICU.

As for you, how can you as a Muslimah claim that the 'TFG' is the only legitimate government? Your country is occupied, your people live in despair, over 900,000 people have been displaced by those you call a government & their masters. Walaal i do not support the TFG and i personally cant stand their supporters..i do support the alliance though with the moderate UIC officials. I kinda agree with Alluring.....Somalia is a country that went through a brutal civil war and many people lost their lives....where were the ICU then?... Why try to control Somalia after all these years? I think changing names and shirts is what really went on in Somalia. Which only extended chaos and for those who are not interested in peace took advantage of it.
