AbuShabab,

Tylenol (paracetamol) damages the liver when taken in excess. Chewing khat in excess is bad.

Not to mention, khat is a billion-dollar industry that enriches the Ethiopian and Kenyan governments, corporates, farmers, etc. In essence, Somalis who chew khat are helping their enemies.

I believe one can a lead a happy and healthy life without balwad. Jaad damages the liver, just like alcohol. Outlawing it is way overdue.

let me ask, why do take tea?

not for a health purpose, sure, they've just started to say it's good for health but u were taking even b4. there are many things people will just consume coz there's that natural and inexplainable need for it. so, abu shabab ur laying u cant maintain life without balwad, life without s'thing, so let it be jaad instead of cocaine, wine and other harmful things.

i've only ever seen my cousin chew, and it was a bit scary to be honest.. he got really hyper and was walking up and down doing things...hoovering, doing the dishes etc... at 1am  and my God was he talking, he told me every little secret he had  .. he wouldn't let me go to sleep...kept going on about him wanting some company..at the time i was 13, quite young and i'd never seen anyone chew... i didn't even know what it was walaahi.

If tea is balwad, as you insinuate, then make it your preferred balwad 'cause it's far better, safer and healthier than khat. It beats me why one would chew something that damages the liver, just like alcohol.
