why are somalis in denial about al shabab?

Postby American-Suufi » Mon Oct 20, 2008 7:32 pm

1- al shabab wants to rule somalia and ONLY according to their jihadi/wahabi philosophy and doctrines.
A) wahabi jihadi anarchic ideology like al-qaeda.
B) al shabab has admitted 2 be alligned with alqaeda and are led by former afghani/alqaeda fighters.
C) they won't tolerate other muslim tariqa's in somalia and are willing to kill them all.

2- sheikh sharif and other sunnis noticed al shabab's pre-ethiopian withdrawl plans and prefer ethiopia'n withdrawl
to be a peaceful negotiatied settlement.

3- al shabab kills all aid workers helping somalis because they consider the united nations and aid agencies to be hostile
to alshabab interests. they believe the united nations' recognition of the tfg only helps the tfg.

4- al shabab holds the same ideology as the militants who attacked the Grand Mosque in Mecca in 1979 and they will kill
90% of non-jihadi wahabi muslims if they could achieve victory with the remaining 10% of somalis.

why can't somalis support an honest honourable sheikh sharif who never killed, neither alligned himself with terrorists like alqaeda and nor prefered large numbers of somalis to die of starvation because of percieved hatred towards aid agencies?

somali people deserve their leaders.

somalis chose al shabab/alqaeda or the tfg/tigre anarchy against the peace proposals of sheikh sharif.
