Oh Advo, you are so cute grandpa :lol: I think they are actually nicknames, but often they are nicknames that stay, whilst the 'proper' name doesnt.

My brother is actually named after my Great-Grandfather but he also has a 'Proper' name too, but in reality he has dual names, and no he doesn't get bullied, since only family call him by his 'other' name, and everyone else calls him by his 'Proper' name (the name in all his legal document, and Arabic name). People would laugh sometimes when they hear us calling him by it. :lol:

rooble is connected with rain,if someone is born during the rainy season,the old somalis used to name him rooble...old fashioned name.

jamac is another short version of jimcaale,it means someone who brings people together just like kulmiye.
though i am not sure about this. :mrgreen:
