I really do believe that our love for poetry and vibrant culture in storytelling is something that can unite us; it is also not against our religion. Thoughts?

Its beautiful
My grandfather was a well known poet hawd but he died 50 years ago and none of those who memories his poems are alive today. I wish I could have read his poems.

I agree Poetry plays centreal role in our culture the Somalis are most famous for being a nation of poets. Oral poetry is central to Somali life.

Calooshaadoon hif oran Adiga oon ka haqab`bin
Hunguri ma haweeysatee Hooyadu waa lama huraan
Habaaq goor aad tahoo Talaabta aan la holi karin
Adoo ciidii hambaday Dhaqsaba waa ku hinjisaye
