Jubbaland

Postby Murax » Mon Jan 19, 2009 2:38 pm

Really its a shame that this didn't happen.

If there was a maamul built for these three regions that was fair and Cadaalad for all Somalis living there, it would have been a tremendous benefit for the people living in those regions who really don't have any sort of Governence. I really think the progress and output of such a state would totally trump a Somaliland/Puntland etc. due to the recourses, variety of exports etc. that could have been produced from it.

Unfortunately I think the window for it to be implemented has passed as the distrust, cadaawad and kala danbeeyn la'aan between everyone in Jubboinka will keep it from happening. Hopefully a Government comes along in Somalia that can establish order in these regions that just need a Government!

just cuz huraale was chased from jubooyinka does not mean there is no window to create jubaland state. for some how some of yo think that only huraale with suppport of ethiopians is able to build jubaland state when most of jubaland resident see huraale as the cancer and obstacle that is keeping us from creating vaible jubaland state. huraale has no say in jubooyinka and needs to stop being stooge for somalia enemy who ever they may be. he is from galgadud and needs to go back there as the other JVA leaders did such as gaboole. Reer Gedo and jubooyinka have enough intelectuals of they own and the are capable creating jubaland state. reer waamo and reer gedo need to be left alone then for sure piece and prosperity will come. as long as there is bunch of ilkoyars who are supporting and appluading huraale for being stooge/traitor and there are ethiopains that are willing to use such stooges for thier own gain which is to keep somalia in despair, there will be no piece in jubooyinka let alone state

I partially agree. The Jubba regions' best chance to successfully distance themselves from the south's turmoil was when Barre Hirale was the de facto leader of those said regions before the ICU betrayed him. I doubt that the progress of 'Jubbaland' would eclipse that of Somaliland or even Puntland tho, but anyhow the situation down there now couldn't be more inhospitable to the Jubbaland concept.

If certain things in the current political atmosphere change in the South, and if certain factors among us await for those changes to take place then Jubbaland will and could be. Jubbaland is never a dead dream!

Do those changes include a possible election of Barre Hirale as the new TFG president besides the departure of Ethios and Extremists sadeboi?

Paradoxically, the Jubbas may be more politically unstable than ever before since the early 90s and thus blocking the process towards the creation of Jubbaland, but I think some elements there, the non-Marehans that initially feared a confirmation of established Marehan hegemony in a new Jubbaland, would wholeheartedly embrace a Jubbaland spearheaded and under the tutelage of Marehans.

Starscream, no not at all, it really is not in Beesha interest to lead Somalis at the current moment. The changes are an internal one that will be brought about by changes in the overall political atmosphere in Somalia. The instability in the Jubbas was and is caused by the Marehan, if those problems are solves, Jubbaland is inevitable!

i agree with sadeboi

jubbalands make or break is mostly if not completely up to marexans due to many factors..!! however anyone living in those regions will benefit from jubbaland when it is established.

if there was to be an agreement between the groups coursing this chaos in jubbaland, i am sure jubbaland will surpass puntland and as for somaliland it is debatable.

Sadeboi,

For this to happen politicians like A Jaamac Barre, Cabdiqaadir Massale etc. would have to get involved. As long as Reer Jubba's politicians stay away its going to be tough!

Btw, I'm not saying this out of qabiil, but I really do not think Jubbaland can be established without Marexaan, and a united Marexaan.

Murax, I do agree, we need the educated individuals and also great politicians to be involved. I think we are all aware, there is no other factor that is halting or can halt the creation of Jubbaland besides Marehan. But working with all the inhabitants of Jubboyinka is a must!

why dont each subclan bring forward their best qualified man and from this the governing body will be formed.... easy

as long as they qualify its fine; they must be WADAAD, have a DEGREE, complete alien to the chaos in Kismayo and Gedo and they must be wadanis.

Jubbaland sounds like a very good idea.
