I think in a future Somalia, the concept of Jubbaland along with other federal states will be very productive. It divides the country, forming good administrative zones that check the balance of the central government but at the same time is bigger than mere regions and is a deterrent to clan solidarity, simply because of the diversity of the future state.

I disagree Jubbaland could have formed better in the past. I think it is the opposite. At that time we military controlled Jubbaland. It is the reality that cannot be denied. Gaaljecel felt as we were armed overlords. Ogaden felt as if we were armed overlords. All other Jubbalanders felt the same way. In a situation such as that, you cannot garner the support and confidence of the people to see the successful conclusion of such an inclusive entity as a Federal state of different regions, towns, and clans.

I think from now on is the best time to implement a Jubbaland simply because people's perceptions about Marehan militarily dominating has cooled and they have gotten enough breathing to come to terms with living and working with Marehan forever in Kismaayo and the lower Jubba Valley.

An ideal Jubbaland will include the Gedo region, and Lower and Middle Jubba regions with a capital at Kismaayo. It would have borders with Kenya, Ethiopia, and a seaport of immense importance. It would be an economic gateway into the city with some of its cities serving as strong trans-national trading towns, and would be a very productive region in terms of agriculture along with the prospects for manufacturing and port economy in the coastal cities.

It could potentially be Somalia's strongest and most naturally gifted state if it could be legitimately formed.

Actually I agree with Voltage.

Its not about strong arming people into accepting a State, but everybody working together.

Since one clan isn't dominating things anymore lets see if people there can work together.

why are you guys implying that marehan are the most hated/feared clan in jubbaland  , this is completely ridiculous. rer jubbaland have nothing but love for their neighbors and fellow jubbalanders, for the exception of the majerten and their mentally controlled sidekick ogaden there is no rivalry in between the most peaceful people of somalia rer JUBBALAND.

i want to discontinue the propaganda that has been spread by the separatist majertens who despite being the laangaab of the region managed to course damage with their idiotic kablalax propaganda.

i understand that the qabilist state of puntland has contributed in destroying our economy by exporting fake money to their spys in kismaayo, not to mention their warlord continuously attacking our beloved kismayo city. it is idiotic to even think majerten can be part of jubbaland

for any viable Jubaland, Bay, bakool and Shabellada hoose should be included and the Harti people should also be allowed in as they are what that makes Kismaayo a city rather than a tuulo.

I am sorry but in the reality, everybody understands Jubbaland to be Gedo, Lower Jubba, and Middle Jubba.

Jubaland means middle Juba and lower Juba .

Adding only Gedo is counterproductive and hence Bay Bakool and Sh/hoose would form a complete state.

dude even if there are 3 harti they are better than 1000 marexan, Mj People are enterprenuers and at least contribute positively to the region rather than you guys who just rely on the Port revenue to feed your entire population in Kismaayo.

Lakin everyone know why the Mj migrated if you think your clan cleansing of MJ has worked you guys are bloody wrong.
What Kismayu needs are enterprenuers and not homeless migrants.
