It is heart breaking.. they can't even escape and the fire is still going this morning because of the wind. It is heart breaking.

How many dead so far?? and how come ?? what happened to the rescuers??

It happens in th US all the time.. but you hear like 3 or 4 ppl died ..last I head it was above 90 in Australia??

Its the worst way to die wallah..being burned alive..

they can't be rescued.. there was only one Road and it got blocked... the sad bit is.. they can't run and no one can get to them. They are collecting the bodies and it was over 200+ this morning and they are still counting and the fire moved to the other side.. all the towns are blocked. This woman heard her 22 year old sun getting burned on the phone.. he was telling her he was ok and she basically heard him die

Cawar, bush-fires occur every summer here. Nobody thought it would get this big and bad, this quickly. We've been in the middle of a record breaking heat wave, a decade long drought, combined with buffeting high wind, which makes for an explosive combination. The native people of Australia practised controlled undergrowth burn-offs, which helped limit the scope of bush-fires that might have come their way. Thanks to your generic tree hugging nonsense, there was plenty of fuel for the fires here.
