I was watching a BBC documentary of the gender imbalance issue. They simulated the issue using 50 horny young cats and 5 male-cats of different ages. It was interesting how the cats would fight to death over male cats.

The scientists were buffled by the sudden change in cat's nature. In nature they said its was the male cat that would cross the seven seas to mate with a female cat but in this simulated gender imbalance exercise which went on for 6 months the female cats were stalking the male cats to mate.
