Somalia Needs a Chairman Mao like Leader

Postby AbdiWahab252 » Sun Mar 22, 2009 12:59 pm

China Prior to Chairman Mao:

1. Occupied by different foreign powers: Russia, Japan, Britain, French, Dutch, Portugese

2. Weak state under foreign backed governments that allowed entire territories to be occupied

3. Backwards feudal state that trampled on the rights of the vast majority

China After Chairman Mao

1. Foreign occupation ended

2. China began to assert influence over its territories and neighbors

3. Creation of a strong national identity

4. Removal of backwards traditions & a more egalitarian state

Somalia's Mao should:

1. Create a strong national identity and curtail backward traditions

2. Consolidate power into a strong central government

3. Focus on ridding the nation of foreign agents & focus on consolidating SOmali territories over the next 50 years
