As far as I know....there used to be boys and girls going out doing stuff for each other, you know like they do over here (proper boyfriend/girlfriend stuff)....and there used to be the regular up for anything types who used to sleep around.

:lol: . But I did hear back in the 70's there was some liberal views on relationships. before that era, marriages were pre-determined and brokered without the persons knowledge. I even heard their was alcohol factories in galgadudud and mudug. :|

I heard a similar story recently. This guy was telling us how he went to Baadiye and they married him off to this girl (this is in like 2004 or so). He said at the wedding night, weey ka oroday, then her father told him war orodo uushaan qaado ee soo qabo, naagaaha baadiye uul iyo kab inaa la dhacdid waaye, that's how I used to do with her mum :lol:

I don't think he was lying either.
