Mareeg.com-Khartoum --the Islamist leader of Alliance for Re-liberation of Somalia Sheik Hassan Dahir Aweys is expected to arrive in the Somalia capital Mogadishu following an agreement with the president of the new government Sharif Sheik Ahmed, officials belonging to the presidential residence confirmed on Saturday.
The officials said the arrival of Aweys in Mogadishu will be a move that he will join the government. Sheik Aweys had been close friend with Sharif Ahmed during the Islamist rule in 2006 before the the Ethiopian forces drove the Islamic Courts Union out of power.
since the Islamist rebel leader escaped from his house arrest in Eritrea last month he has been involving in Sudan sponsored talks with the Somalia government officials.
The outspoken matter of joining the government by Aweys is strongly denied by some of ARS officials saying that they will not be part of the current government which they see at as puppet regime.
the ARS officials threatened that thier leader joins the government they will take decision against him. wagacusub
